Swecha/SLC has a long-standing tradition of empowering students to learn and grow beyond the classroom. Our club has always been a space where students can work on projects, share knowledge, and develop new skills. Traditionally, much of this activity has taken place after college hours, in person, during our meetings and workshops.
However, we’ve realized that this model, while effective, excludes a significant number of day scholars who are unable to participate due to timing conflicts. Recognizing the need for change, we are launching Dglug to ensure that everyone, regardless of their schedule, has the opportunity to contribute and benefit from our community.
How Digital Glug Works
Dglug is built on the foundation of open-source principles, utilizing powerful tools like Moodle and BigBlueButton to create a seamless digital experience for our members.
Moodle: Our Moodle platform serves as the digital hub for Dglug, where members can access resources, contribute to projects, and engage in discussions. It’s where our “physical presence” in the digital realm takes shape.

BigBlueButton: For real-time collaboration and meetings, we use BigBlueButton, an open-source web conferencing system. This tool allows us to maintain the interactive and collaborative spirit of our in-person meetings while ensuring that all members, regardless of location, can participate.
